HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 6

Renaming the Rivesville Bridge to Baxter, crossing over the Paw Paw Creek, the Paw Paw Veteran's Memorial Bridge.
Whereas, The Rivesville Bridge which crosses over the Paw Paw Creek to Baxter Crossing should be renamed the Paw Paw Veteran's Memorial Bridge in honor of the many members of armed services from this State and around Paw Paw Creek who have served gallantly and faithfully fighting for freedom and against the repression of tyranny on foreign soils; and
Whereas, The State of West Virginia should honor these veterans for their significant contribution and for paying the ultimate price for citizenship in this State and the United States; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Rivesville Bridge to Baxter, crossing over the Paw Paw Creek, be renamed the Paw Paw Veteran's Memorial Bridge and that signs be erected at each end of the bridge to apprise motorists traveling thereon of the name; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the Department of Transportation.
